Decorating for Halloween: Spooky tips and tricks
I never used to be into Halloween much, I was getting cynical and thought it had become too commercialised, but since having kids I've changed my outlook at this time of year. Halloween is the perfect time to get creative and decorate the home for the spooky season. Whether you're going for a scary or … Continue reading Decorating for Halloween: Spooky tips and tricks
How to keep kids entertained during the winter months in the UK
I missed the boat on posting how to keep kids entertained over the summer months as we were just so busy (but more on that another time perhaps). What are the Autumn/Winter fashion trends for you this season?
It's that time of year where for some of us it's season changeover in our wardrobes. I do this on a mostly half-hearted basis as I do tend to layer up and have a lot of three season items in my wardrobe, so it's only really a few items that get culled or put into … Continue reading What are the Autumn/Winter fashion trends for you this season?

This is quite probably going to be a long post, so grab a cuppa or whatever you choose, take a seat and get comfortable. There is a lot of icky detail and perhaps not the usual happy, … Continue reading A time to reflect
Just a little catch up…
Where do I start?! It’s been a really busy few months. Mostly hell but occasionally some nice busy in there too. We’ve had a house move and Covid (twice!) to deal with, I’ve also had a ‘mystery’ medical issue and just couldn’t get an answer from anyone but thankfully I’ve now managed to get some answers, not all, but some! More on that in another post. Fingers crossed we are finally through most of it now. Onwards and upwards so they say.

The difficulty is actually getting that quality time and even, establishing what quality time actually is. Read on to find out more...
Hearing aids and heels…
The hearing aids bit anyway! I had a bit of a moment the other day where I felt really stupid. And I mean really stupid. Like I was incompetent and worthless stupid. It’s a more frequent occurrence than I would like!
